Besiktas failed in their attempts to sign Younes Kaboul during the January transfer window but could renew their offer for the Tottenham defender at the end of the season.
Slaven Bilic was hoping to bring the France international to the Turkish club as he has fallen out of favour with Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane, despite being named club captain last summer.
The 29-year-old was also linked with West Ham on transfer deadline day but the move never materialised and he will now be forced to battle for his place in the Tottenham first-team.
Reports in Turkey claim that Bilic is refusing to give up on his signature and he could make a fresh bid to secure his signature during the summer.
